Company Overview:
My College Listings, Inc is a virtual community of colleges. This company was established to help student’s save money and make life a little easier. Our goal is to create the ultimate college mega store where students can do everything from selling their used books, to purchasing traveling packages, to finding a place to live all in one place.
Problems:
- The client needed a simple, easy-to-use, Internet-based solution to allow college students the ability to sell their textbooks online, to other college students in their local area. This solution needed to be scalable and allow for future growth.
- My College Listings wanted to limit the number of books each member could sell per semester.
- My College Listings required 3 separate administration levels for employee functions.
Solutions:
- MyCollegeListings.com was developed using JAVA and MySQL technologies to allow scaleable and powerful back-end integration.
- Using advanced programming; Creative Code was able to calculate accurate semester timers to easily limit member book listings.
- Creative Code develop the separate administration levels that are controlled on a numeric user basis. The "Super User" is the highest number and other administrative rights are lessened with each downward iteration.
